Humor: Good Reason to Travel

I came across the following story recently and had a good chuckle. I expect that those of you who are familiar with the scratchy screeching sounds made by someone first learning to play the fiddle will especially appreciate this story.

+ + + + +

Two men were on an expedition, traveling down the Amazon River. The first man said, "The hustle and bustle of city life was really getting to me. Travel and adventure are in my blood. I need to be part of nature, see the exotic species of the rain forests, explore where few have been. What about you? What brought you out on this trip?"

"You want to know the truth?" the second man said. "My son is learning to play the violin."

SWS: Do What Your Good At

I came across the following quote recently. It's very powerful and inspiring. In fact, it was a bit of a God Wink for me.

You owe it to us all to get on with what you're good at."
—W. H. Auden

Something to consider as you ponder this quote: if you don't do what you're good at, is it possible that you're depriving someone (or perhaps even the whole world) of gifts that only you are able to offer?

Be Blessed!
