Christmas Time

I do not want to minimize the significance of Christmas, especially for those of us who profess the Christian faith. However, the Christmas season is an extremely busy and stressful time of year, particularly for those of us in full-time church work.

So in the spirit of what is to come, allow me to quote a stanza from an old American folk song which can be traced back to the early 1900's in northern Georgia.

Christmas time will soon be over,
Christmas time will soon be over,
Christmas time will soon be over
Then we'll join the band.
